The Call of God - "What a revelation"
God’s Call, my response is one of the session that I took long to finalize but one of the most impactful sessions upon my life. What I have learnt has made me have a deeper understanding of the call of God and that each one of us has a call which is to make disciples who will also make disciples but at the same time, we each have a specific call. Before learning this truth, I thought the call of God was all about “spiritual” calling such as Pastor, Apostle etc but now I know that one can be called as a Doctor or as an Accountant and this revelation is so awesome that I have since shared a teaching in our Ministry about the call of God. Thank you so much.
Allow scriptures to define and direct
I truly accept that and I quote “there are many good things you could do with your one and only life. But those good things can easily distract you from the best things God as called you to do.”
I have learnt to remain focused and always to involve God in whatever I do.
Hearing the voice of God is very important
I didn’t know how to differentiate the voice of God with the self thought (mind), thorough this course I have become now a servant of God who is able to listen the voice of God. God’s Call your Response course is very helpful in my ministry.

Finding the real meaning in scripture.
I found Andrew to be a very dynamic lecturer who was very easy to listen to and understand. This module has helped me to realize the dangers of taking scripture out of context and applying it to areas where it was never intended to be. It will help me to dig deeper into scripture and really seek to understand the meaning, context and how it applies today. Ultimately it will make me a better preacher!
Knowledge is power
This course has enabled me to study the bible as a detective. As a pastor, I have learned that I need to understand the original audience of the bible and how it applies to us today.
Review of the Lifelong Leadership Development Part 2
The course helped me in aligning to the original audience history and culture and also to evaluate the differences between the contexts of the original message.

The Godhead: Eternally Wonderful and Purposeful
Theology of God is totally refreshing, as I gained very fresh insights into the nature of the trinity of God.
What an amazing experience to learn anew the character, Intelligence and unity of the Godhead.
The Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit all divinely presented as distinct personalities yet transcendentally united in purpose, as revealed in creation, the church, and even in human development is altogether a bliss.
This is a never-ending learning for all true believers, nevertheless.
MY Conviction
I have now understood the general and distinct roles of the God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Godhead (Trinity).
Theology of God
This course has opened my eyes to the theology of God.
The two Greek words, Theos mean God and Logos mean word, so theology is the study of God’s word. Theology is the study of the King and His Kingdom. Theology seek to understand
the christian God revealed in the bible and His works of creation.

Hear clearly from God
All the classes were very interesting but at the end of the day did God call you to plant or start a church? At the end of the day that is the most important question I need to ask myself. Because if the call does not have God’s approval its going to be a very hard thing to do and at the end of the day it will not last. So this to me was a very deep question.
Church Planting
Starting Strong session has impacted me so much. In the next launch of church planting, these aspects learnt will be applied. This course has really touched so many areas that I never knew of. 8 essential elements of the health growing church among others really opened me up for areas of improvement with the help of God (The Holy Spirit).
Church Planting
I have planted a church by the grace of God however, with this body of knowledge I have a broader perspective of church planting. Further the desire to do more has just been embedded in me. Thank God for this resource.

Come over here
When called, we respond and)act differently. When God calls one has no choice but to respond positively to the call . I know God cares about me and I have to care about those God entrusted me to. It’s all about people’s lives hence being compassionate as Jesus was. God’s plan should always prevail no matter what. All we have to do is avail ourselves and all will fall in place. The command is seek first His kingdom and righteousness and all these things shall added into you.
While a missions calling is scarry though thrilling and exciting it cannot be avoided. Jesus went to places and was successful. God is capable and willing to equip anyone He sends on a mission . Pickups such as language, culture and location are not an excuse as God has a way out for His children to go through all barriers to do his will
Preparing self sums it all up. Getting ready for an assignment gives room for emotional and psychological preparation. Once prepared one will be commited to and focused on the task ahead. Ultimately one will grow mentally and spiritually due to exposure to to a completely new environment.
Missions Training
This opened up a whole set of new. Ideas and ways to look and effectively train people we intend sending on missions and at the same time set my heart and desire to go on more missions
Contextualisation
People should always own the gospel we take to them and not adopting our home way of doing things. i have learnt that it becomes much more easier when people in a host culture take the gospel along side their own cultures through the saying ” its not wrong, but just different”. i liked this a lot and promise to carry it on and also exercise it.
Lecturer Kay gave an example of Jesus in this teaching, that he came into the world from heaven as a human being despite him being God. He wanted to be like us in order to ease the gospel, that is to say, born of a woman, ate food, paid taxes among others.
i have also learnt that contextualisation doesn’t mean compromising other cultures but rather relating, that is getting to know the culture then present the gospel.
Thanks to Lecturer Kay.
