The change
This course has really CHANGE the way I use to read, analyse and apply Bible. Mr Andrew has done a great job. How I wish I have the Ms-word PDF copy of the lesson.
Analyse and apply the Bible
When we come to a scripture to read, analyse, interprete and apply, we need to understand that it’s engaging us in a cross cultural experience. Doing so will necessarily involve bridging gaps of time, language and culture.
A good study Bible will be helpful to understand the text or book well. The pattern of application involves knowing the original audience meaning, translating with the timeless principle to us today. This will involve looking for cluesby developing the inner detective approach.
In summary,
1. Read the whole book if possible in one sitting
2. Trace the author’s flow of thought. This is observation but be open to spirit’s promptings.
3. Make connections and interprete.
4. Collate your findings
5. In a sentence or two, write the passage is about.
6. Take the meaning of text for original audience and look at the difference between them and us.
7. Extract the principle from the text.
8. What does look like for us and me?
increased understanding of analyzing and interpreting the bible
increased capacity to analyse and apply the word of God

Authentic leadership
I have really learned alot from this program
Enlighten
This section has given me much light, on practical leadership. Am so grateful
From Leadership comes direction
One can be a pastor or an elder but he might not be a leader.
A leader brings direction and they are strong in their leadership. If you have to be a leader, you have to learn. Leadership has principles. And if its principle is violated or abused, problem will arise in the Church. When we talk about leadership, there are three essential leadership qualities we all must have.
A leader must carry:
-Responsibility
-Authority
-Accountability.
If you live out these qualities, it is going to create a weakness in your leadership or weakness in the Church.
The leader is responsible for whatever happens in the Church.
-Many Churches never grow simply because the leader does not have authority to actually lead the church forward. So we need to have authority to make decisions, choices to move the Church forward. We should not delegate that to someone else, it shoild be the leader that should have that authority.
-As a leader, you are accountable for everything. Accountable when things go right and wrong. You are accountable when it is time to celebrate because God has done some good things but if things are not going so well you are accountable, we have to look at where are we going next?
-As a leader, what are you going to be doing?
-What changes needed to be made for the Church to progress forward?
*How do you govern your Church?
-Is it Autocracy,or Beaucracy or Democracy or Theocracy?
We must know that God is in Charge and he is the Leader of our Churches. Let’s allow the Leasder to lead us (That is Theocracy).
-“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice..” (Proverbs 29:2).

The highlighting of Biblical Structure was very enlightening. The In juxta positions were eye opening. I liked the emphasis on restoration also the 3 part code of Holiness. The overview of where the Prophets fit in regard to the exile helps build a picture as does the exploring of how Caesar was viewed back at that time. All the above deepened my awareness. Thank you.
