We have created this page to get you off to a flying start with your program of study. So please take a few minutes to read this page and follow the instructions.

Getting the most out of your study

  • Take a moment to pray before you start a study session
    • Ask God for wisdom, insight and understanding.
  • Pause and rewind when you are not sure about what is being said.
    • The courses are designed with a lot of information packed into a lesson.
  • Take notes.
    • This helps greatly with understanding and remembering.
  • Give yourself separate time and space to do each lesson.
    • Allow 30 mins per lesson, don’t rush.
    • Only do 3 lessons per study session.
  • If you are unsure about a term or a concept.
    • use the E-library to do some research.
    • use the community chat rooms to ask a question.

  • Personal Spiritual Growth Part 1: Certified
    • Helps you lay a foundation for development as a Christian leader through a process of personal and spiritual growth thus undergirding your spiritual life and ministry.
  • Personal Spiritual Growth Part 2: Certified
    • Continues to build the foundation of spiritual disciplines and leadership practices including; biblical study tools, prayer and spiritual disciplines. You will learn how to build a life long foundation for being a Christian and a leader.
  • Advanced Pastoral Care – Part 1: Certified
    • How to provide the pastoral care skills needed in the local church, chaplaincy or the wider community. Learn how to deal with the expectations placed expectations on pastors and leaders.
  • Advanced Pastoral Care – Part 2: Certified
    • How to provide pastoral care in the local church. You will learn how to care for the needs of families, singles, pre-marriage counselling, grief and loss. It also discusses care in the wider community.
  • Introduction to Biblical Studies Part 1: Certified
    • You will start your interpretive journey of the Scriptures as you unpack the nature of the Bible and learn how to read passages, paragraphs and discourses within the biblical text.
  • Introduction to Biblical Studies Part 2: Certified
    • How to understand the different genres contained within the Bible. You’ll uncover the different genres in the Bible and learn how they affect the way in which Scripture is read and interpreted.
  • Introduction to Biblical Studies Part 3: Certified
    • The importance of the biblical context. You’ll to get to the heart of the Bible and understanding its meaning. You’ll dive into historical and literary contexts, before exploring word studies and getting to the original intention of the passage.
  • Foundations of Leadership: Certified
    • How to manage conflict, leading collaboratively, failure, risk and decisions before the course moves into implementing and sustaining change. The foundational principles of leadership in ministry and work.
  • Person & Work of Christ Part 1
    • How to relate the Person and Work of Christ to life and/or ministry. How to discuss with anyone who Jesus is and why he came to earth by applying biblical and theological meaning.
  • Person & Work of Christ Part 2
    • How to analyse the historical development of the doctrines and issues related to the deity, humanity and atoning work of Christ.
