As mentioned God has been blessing me, with increased knowledge thanks to AXX and providing me with small blessings, that help me manifest the Holy Spirit in music and worship.

I was born into a Christian family and have had the privledge of knowling Jesus from the age of 12. Whilst my love of God and his presence in my life has always been constant, this year I wanted to press in deeper and I want to know God more.

At the start of this course, I felt distant from God and burdened with poor mental and physical health. This course has helped me grow deeper in my journey with Christ, learn many sound and foundational biblical principles and it has helped me understand and study the bible more thoroughly and deeply

I’ve grown and flow in the area of pastoral counselling, encouraging and seeing people especially the youth come out of things that hold them back and succeed (eg) going to school more regularly. Discovering purpose.

Bron into a christian family. Grandfather was a church planter, Evangelist, Missionary. Father was a Deacon and Pastor, so when I was born, going to church, serving in church was not a life style choice, it was life. Seen my parents begin and end anything and everything with prayer always. Big decisions small decisions all began or ended with prayer. Those were my first memories of being a christian. Prayer, Praise and Worship and more prayer. Missing Sunday church was not even an option ever. Unless you were actually bed ridden.

Just simple coughs and colds were not considered sickness but an opportunity for God to heal you in you are still faithful in attending church and praying for a healing.

Multiple visiting pastors, preachers and teachers have always singled me out as a child for prayer and prophesied over me that “God has a wonderful plan for me and I will serve him marvellously. I found it amusing as a child, wow another pastor praying for me, did know what it meant and what I am supposed to do.

As an adult have tried my best to serve God in whatever capacity I can. Singing, Drums, Sound , Ushering whatever I was given an opportunity to do. And thats my journey. Till date and I dont think I have reached full potential yet. and I am waiting for God to move mightily in my life.

I started this course doubting myself.

After returning from Nigeria where I did my Post Graduate Diploma in Theology, I started feeling that there was a special aspect of my ministry life which was pulling me towards the area of leadership. So, I decided to start praying about an opportunity to pursue a masters degree in Leadership. Before I talked to anybody else I found AXX on the Internet and decided to find out more about it and I realised that there was a course on Biblical Leadership. I took almost a year to complete the course not because of laziness but because I wanted to take notes, journal, revise, and apply useful insights before moving to any other lesson. Being an African and Angolan I know that we have few opportunities to pursue quality education, and this is mainly because we can’t afford it. At AXX I found this dream to become a reality and I don’t want to take it for granted. I am blessed with the opportunity to study at AXX. May the owner of our lifes, God Almighty, reward you abundantly. Amen

Genesis Chapter 22 tells the story of God’s final and greatest test of Abraham’s faith. God’s first nine tests were designed to build up Abraham’s faith. This last test was to reveal the true faith of Abraham that Jesus had perfected in him. In a foreshadow of Jesus’ death at the cross, God instructed Abraham to sacrifice his only son. True faith is: (1) tested so you can trust it; (2) responsive to God’s calling; (3) submits to His will; (4) trusts in His Word; (5) obeys Him; (6) perfected through Jesus’ sacrifice; and (7) rewarded by Jesus in heaven and here on Earth. First, God tested Abraham to see if his love for his son was greater than his love for God. This test (along with the prior tests) were calculated to perfect Abraham’s faith. God will also test my faith. Like Abraham, Jesus will test your faith until it is perfected. Second, Abraham promptly responded to God’s calling by taking Isaac without delay to the appointed place for the sacrifice. From this, God reveals that true faith is responsive to His calling. Third, Isaac submitted to this sacrifice by carrying the wood for the sacrifice and by not resisting. From this, God reveals that true faith submits to the will of God. Fourth, Abraham trusted God to provide a substitute sacrifice. From this, God reveals that true faith trusts in God’s Word and His promises. Fifth, when no substitute sacrifice appeared, Abraham raised his dagger with unquestioning obedience believing that God would raise Isaac from the dead. From this, God reveals that true faith is obedient, even when God’s reasons seem unclear. Sixth, just before the moment of sacrifice, the “angel of the LORD” (one of many pre-incarnate appearances of Jesus) told Abraham to stop. Abraham then saw a ram trapped with its horns in a thicket. This foreshadowed the substitute sacrifice of Jesus, who came to the cross with a crown of thorns. From this, God reveals that true faith is perfected through faith in Jesus’ substitute sacrifice at the cross. This is the chapter that encourages me no matter what to seek God and put my faith in Him…… Finally, God rewarded Abraham and all his descendants because of his faith. Through true faith in Jesus, the blessings that God offered to Abraham will be extended to you as well.

My story and journey of faith is actually a testament that God indeed has a choice and He exercises it to choose Whosoever He wills. And such as He decides to choose, He calls. I was born to a Pastor who was into full-time ministry and we actually grew up within the church premises where the Pastor’s housing was. We constantly moved as he moved from places to places opening up new works and going on itinerary missions. However, everything changed when he suddenly died. Though I grew in church and to know church, I didn’t have a personal relationship with Christ Jesus because I didn’t understand what that was until my last year in high school. And since that year in April 1992, I have continued faithfully in my following and learning of Christ. God kept His part of the bargain and held me up through the years, opening up ministry opportunities for me since my teenage years. I’m especially grateful for calling and enabling me to not just win souls for Him in Christian gatherings and on the street but to be a successful spiritual parent with many of those He brought to me and my way to disciple and raise still going strong in the Lord, with many also haven answered the call to ministry and missions and doing great for God.
