Biblical exposure

Axx has exposed me to the basics of the scripture by making me know the basic contents of the Bible, its historical background, its prophecy and fulfilment and its instructional/doctrinal background. Moreover the engaging the scripture course has enabled me to have good knowledge of carrying out exegesis and interpretation of the biblical text and not to bring in my pre – understanding into biblical interpretation. Thank you Axx. The learning continues.

Emo I ProTeams

2023-05-09

The course prepares and has help me to improve on the area of Team building. As leaders and ministers of the kingdom i believe that one has to be trained emotionally, intelligently in order to be productive team players. In order to achieve this, we need to develop our skills to apply our emotional intelligence to be in line with the ‘Biblical Theological Foundations’. Scriptures and practical examples are being provided as a guide to help us familiarize ourselves with the concept. As we are, and going to be dealing with people not the robots, emotions are there, whether good or bad and in lecture 9 of the module, Andrew is teaching us about the (DISC) which stand for Dominant-choleric, Influencer-Sanguine, Stable-Phlegmatic, and the Compliant-Melancholic. He unpacks each kind of person, shows the weakness and the strength of each, which for me it was a great revelation. And i am grateful for the course and all the entire staff at Axx Bible College, and Harvest Bible College.

I have learnt quite a lot in this session.

I have learnt how the synoptic gospels approached the gospel of the kingdom of God in their own diverse and unique ways

I have learnt how to apply the gospel to specific contexts

I have learnt what the gospel of the kingdom should be like today, we should present Jesus to a people and not necessarily convincing them to feel guilty

Shepherding for the Kingdom

2023-05-27

When one is destined to shepherd for the kingdom of God, you don’t only need God’s guidance, but also need training and to be equipped in this regard, to run, perform, teach, guide, and to preach to God’s people in order to reach a final objective, which is the salvation. This course ‘Pastoral Care’ is exactly designed to help teach and prepare men and women of of God to be well equipped and be ready to fulfill the mission as per (Matthew 28 the great commission). I also fully agree with ‘Herbert Anderson’ when he define pastoral care by saying; “The pastoral care is to help and prepare people to reframe their lives in the light of God’s story for the sake of greater freedom and responsibility.”

PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING, SERCHING FOR GOD - RECEIVED GOD.

2022-11-07

It takes a heart that is looking for God to receive the dealings of God towards missions.

This course helps me to see myself round the world with the desire to do missions within cultures if impowered by God.

Studying intercultural mission has given me another level of understanding of Gods ministry. It has given me a world and a global view of humanity. Professor Ian L Grant {fast in lecturing} in his lecture said intercultural ministry allows one to get a world and a global vision. And it also allows you to get a global purpose. He said mission is the heart of God. That one that will search for the God of mission will received Him.

Exploring from Acts 1-2, 10-11, 17:24-34 Ian explained that all people of the world are God’s people.

On whom a world Christian is he said a believer should be able to wholeheartedly embrace every person and people as God’s human family. such a Christian can look at a Muslim Hindu Buddhist etc. and say God created this person, God love this person as he loves me, Jesus came and died for this person. He knowledge Christ coming as the redemptive measure for all people without discrimination or favor.

One interesting statement I learned is that UNLESS AND UNTILL THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD BECOMES MORE AND IMPORTANT THAT THE FUTRE OF THE CHURCH THE CHUCH HAS NO FUTURE.

Some topics Professor Ian L. Grant Lectured are: The call of God. What and why of mission. Mission and God’s role.

lecturing on History of missions stirred up my passion on missions by hearing of pioneers on missions. eg. Zinzendorf, Carrey etc. These have such a passion and love for God. He pointed out that Stephen in the bible addressed the Sanhedrins putting Jesus in the center. That the purpose of God church history is reintegration of distorted cosmos through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and with this the reconciliation of things to Himself.

Thanks to axx for such a great opportunity to learn.
