Carrying others on board, and relational connectionsl
I started my ministry last year in a new residential area. I started a ministry without enough planning and preparations, no other people in the community was involved only a couple that I came with from our former church, my wife and my kids. So only children below 18 years are coming to my church and the community is calling my ministry a church of kids.
I realized when I did this course that I started the ministry a wrong way because I left the community behind and I did not connect myself and the church with the influential people and also people of peace in that community.
This course is so helpful thank you so much Axx for such an opportunity to learn and correct my error. May God bless the entire team and the leadership.
Good leadership
I have learnt that good government leadership provides a good environment for growth and stability.Wherever there is good government people feel secured so more and more people will come and join in.This helps a lot because the church is organised.l have learnt that there are three things an Apostle does which are planting churches, develop leaders and teach the deep truths of God.Church planters have a much bigger responsibility that does not necessarily mean planting a church but have good leadership skills, they need to be able to study people around them which includes personality who can be good leaders ,so as a Church Planter be a good judge of character and always be led by the Holy Spirit .So choosing leaders you choose without partiality or favouritism to avoid failure in planting. I have also learnt that when building a dream team we must not be in a hurry to give tittles, this is one mistake we always make rather give responsibilities and from there see how responsible one is in the position given .
Wow
IT is a good thing for to start with this this course because IT was in my plan to plant a church. The ideas that I had was only about 5 % of what I was suppose to know about church planting. Thank you very much for the lessons , it is very informative.

Growing more and more
I have learnt that as a leader l must communicate oftenly because it’s rare to over communicate. This course has opened up my mind in the way a true leader operates. As a leader it’s good to recruit your team according to their gifts because people are more passionate and invested in their roles.l have also learnt that those l call a team must be people committed to the same goals and who cooperate to achieve it ,in so doing it brings in growth unity and builds up a very strong team in the church. So every small achievement we must celebrate it to boost the morale of a team .l have also learnt that in decision making there are some decisions that l must reject which are illegal, unethical or unsafe.l have learnt a lot that is increasing my growth spiritually and intellectually. I have also learnt that lam not suppose to take criticism personally but look at it as a mirror which reflects what can and cannot be improved.
Authentic leadership
Everyone is born a leader. We must take responsibility to bring forth the leadership in us.
True leadership
Simply out, you can’t lead before you are led. True leaders are first led before they lead.

RELYING ON THE HOLY SPIRIT
On TALKING TO NON-CHRISTIANS Tina Waldron session made me to refocus myself more on depending on the Holy Spirit. 2 Cor. 5:17-19. This Holy Spirit will flow through the believer’s life to the non-believers. The holy spirit puts the believer living a life of evangelism an not a life of evangelistic events. As Steve Jarlette also pointed out in this session, I want to have more love for the lord and His work. The god will give me more open doors as I break off my fears and difficulties to share God’s love more and more.
Ministry in the spirit
I beautifully acknowledge speaking in tongues as initial sign of baptism in the holy spirit.

Crumbling Walls.
When I first investigated this course, then decided to plunge in……it was with a degree of ‘fleshly ego’, although I didnt know nor recognise it at the time….I felt it was time to have a ‘Christian Credential’ under my belt, that I could wave about if necessary. However, as the course proceeded, I felt the gentle touch and breeze of God, clearing out some dusty corners in both my mind and heart….although there was no finger pointing, I felt conviction at times, regarding some dark issues tucked away and hidden in the recesses……so, I have been totally grateful for the teaching and the surprised healings. This is a wonderful course to both learn and grow in God and to grow in intimacy with Him. Semper Gratus.
A Good resource for Christian leadership
I have found this to be a total resource material for me to have a good relationship with my church and for that matter be able to work well.
Valuable learning
Pastoral Care is much more than I thought it was. I have gained a lot of insight into the role of pastoral care from the history to conflict resolution to self care, etc. I believe this course really prepares one for doing God’s work in caring for others.

PEOPLE THAT ARE LOOKING, SERCHING FOR GOD - RECEIVED GOD.
It takes a heart that is looking for God to receive the dealings of God towards missions.
This course helps me to see myself round the world with the desire to do missions within cultures if impowered by God.
Studying intercultural mission has given me another level of understanding of Gods ministry. It has given me a world and a global view of humanity. Professor Ian L Grant {fast in lecturing} in his lecture said intercultural ministry allows one to get a world and a global vision. And it also allows you to get a global purpose. He said mission is the heart of God. That one that will search for the God of mission will received Him.
Exploring from Acts 1-2, 10-11, 17:24-34 Ian explained that all people of the world are God’s people.
On whom a world Christian is he said a believer should be able to wholeheartedly embrace every person and people as God’s human family. such a Christian can look at a Muslim Hindu Buddhist etc. and say God created this person, God love this person as he loves me, Jesus came and died for this person. He knowledge Christ coming as the redemptive measure for all people without discrimination or favor.
One interesting statement I learned is that UNLESS AND UNTILL THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD BECOMES MORE AND IMPORTANT THAT THE FUTRE OF THE CHURCH THE CHUCH HAS NO FUTURE.
Some topics Professor Ian L. Grant Lectured are: The call of God. What and why of mission. Mission and God’s role.
lecturing on History of missions stirred up my passion on missions by hearing of pioneers on missions. eg. Zinzendorf, Carrey etc. These have such a passion and love for God. He pointed out that Stephen in the bible addressed the Sanhedrins putting Jesus in the center. That the purpose of God church history is reintegration of distorted cosmos through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and with this the reconciliation of things to Himself.
