Advanced Certification of Pastoral Ministry Overview
The Axx Advanced Certification of Pastoral Ministry qualification equips you to follow the call on your life. It is the Axx qualification that is designed to prepare you for a broad range of ministry roles inside the Church and in the wider community. If you love the ministry and people then this is perfect for you.
The Advanced Certification of Pastoral Ministry starts by answering the important question: What is the Kingdom of God and what is my assignment in it? Then we focus on your personal spiritual and personal formation. We must first learn to care for ourselves practically and spiritually so we can care and minister to others.
We then journey deeper into the word of God to understand its meaning in both the Old and New Testaments and how to apply it to life and ministry today. Then we take some time to explore and understand the wonders of the author and the finisher of faith in Jesus Christ.
This qualification builds on the Certification of Pastoral Ministry.

Introduction to Biblical Studies: Part 1
Often we read the bible for the sake of reading. But this course taught to understand the bible .
Some aspects of Biblical context
In reading paragraphs, I came to learn about the two forms of questions:Open question & rhetorical.Rhetorical being challenging questions in a paragraph.
In a dialogue, I noted the key questions to ask that unlock the idea concerning it.
I learned the back & forth reading of discourses-from broad to narrow & narrow to broad.
I got a glimpse of an idea about Chiasm-a text begins with an idea & finishes with similar thoughts.
I also learnt that when we focus too small on a passage,we do not see where we are in r/s to what’s around us, & when we focus too big we can’t see the details we need to see.
I learned some ideas on ‘creative’ use of biblical text & how the meaning & original intention of the text keep us in check.
I also learned that misinterpretation leads to misunderstanding which leads to false doctrines & the end result is unending strife.
Sharing God's love
Once again I want to thank sincerely the xxx institution
For giving me an opportunity to learn more about bible theology so as to help me in my ministry
I want to share the story of Juma whom God help me to lead to Christ and accepted Jesus as personal savior.
Juma is Kenyan who before used to work in one of the big hotel in Kenya.
I got to know him through one person whom I had preached to before and was now in discipleship class.when I met Juma at first he didn’t want to listen or to take serious the matter of salvation and I kept on visiting him and praying for too for God to open his heart to the gospel
As I was going through my studies on the ending I came across this scripture that really spoke with me in more clarity about God’s love for human being as illustrated in in luke15.11_32
About the prodigal son.
Good enough God was not only speaking to me alone but to Juma too. Recently I met Juma when he had lost his Job and his rented house door was removed by the land owner for failing to pay rent arrears.and he was now sleeping with open door, because he couldn’t afford to move out of the place due to financial challenges and to make this worse they had a very infant baby born just like a month ago.
Good God made me meet with Juma as usual we talk non Christian issues first after which he told me the story of how life has been difficult.at that point I remember the bible verses of the prodigal story
I saw him the love of God, that it’s never too late to make good decision of surrendering once life to Christ, despite what we go through and how far we have gone away from God.
I thank God he had the massage and gave his life to Christ.
I gave him little support as I was able. I promise to pray for him for God find way out for him.
God answered our prayer and he got another job recently and has eventually been able to clear the rent arrears and has rented another house where they are staying comfortable by God’s grace.
More importantly that he’s born again and he is attending church
To God be the glory
