Excellent Presentation of the Counselling Principles
I am able to distinguish between counselling and inner healing, How to grow professional in counselling, when to use prayer, when to refer, dependency on the Holy Spirit, and others. It is so fruitful because I also now know the dangers of prayer and not being ethical in counselling. God bless you.
Counselling Basics Part 2
After undertaking Part 2 of my Counselling Basics course, I believe that I have been thoroughly equipped with skills and tools to help me to know how best to support people during different circumstances of life, either with depression, conflict, anxiety, anger, shame, guilt, forgiveness or through times of grief or loss. My go-to word is Solution Focused therapy by helping my clients generate their own ideas in order to arrive at a solution that will solve their problems.
Also, I have gained more insight on how to provide group counselling and how to make referrals, especially when the client’s circumstances are above my skill and expertise. From this course, I can now say that I am more aware of the importance of prayer and the presence of the Holy Spirit within my role as a counsellor. Thanks again to all our teachers.
