Course Review
It was interesting to learn the formal definition and reasons for Why Theology. I had originally considered theology religious speculation and philosophy. However I have learned that theology is much deeper than that. And teaches provides additional insight into God.
It was interesting to learn about the different types of theology and also how particular ideas theologies were a product of their time and culture. I had no idea that there was so many types. Oh interest to me are; Bibliology & Pneumatology. The study of the Holy Spirit I believe is of particular relevant to today’s Pentecostal Spirit filled Churches.
The various proofs of the existence of God is interesting also.
I found this section of proofs challenging and informative. Ultimately I don’t know if I believe in God (whatever that ultimately is) having read various atheistic materials (Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris etc) I know that there are various counter arguments for the above. However I do believe that Jesus was Divine and for me personally, even if there was no God (as in the ancient Jewish scriptures) it doesn’t really matter. As Jesus is all we need. Christianity over all religions that I have reviewed is the best of all. Just my personal opinion. I flip-flop from agnosticism believing and agnosticism not believing in God. John Lennox also has various arguments for God’s existence. I suppose whether God exists or not, the Christian Theology (like the other Abrahamic faiths) is more robust if we act with at least the assumption of God’s existence.
The Theology of the Bible, which included a brief of also the non-canonised scriptures as well as the canonised and also the various Councils. This section alone made me realise that Theology is much more vast and complex than I first considered. I also had no idea that there were so many different versions of the Bible. I would like to know more about the trustworthyness of scripture and its infallibly. And why this is taken as a given.
I had previously just accepted the inconsistencies and contradictions in the Bible as cultural telling. IE the Lineage of Jesus to King David has two very different accounts. Or the idea of a flat earth with Angels standing at its four corners for example. It seemed to me, that the inspiration of the Bible being received by man, would by our very fallen nature cause errors in the relying of information from the Holy Spirit. But I don’t know. So happy to be instructed and learn more. Thank you.
I found it interesting the section of angels and the powers of evil. And especially that ultimately even the demons were subjected to Jesus’ authority. I think that says a lot.
Personally I have problems accepting the idea of the idea that Jesus is God. Begotten of God, God’s Son, Divine etc. I can accept. But with Jesus’ by his own words and actions was subject to God. And Jesus himself say that God is greater than Him. The course mentioned that this was only when Jesus was on earth as a human-being. But now that he is in Heaven he is equal to God. But if this is so, then why does Jesus sit at the Right Hand of the Father? My confusion is that, I have not yet seen (for myself) in scripture where it say that Jesus in Heaven is equal to the Father in authority etc. Hints are, that authority has been given to him by the Father. Thus being so, the receiver is not in the same position as the giver. What is given is someone greater in this case. Ie the Father.
Thank you for reading this.

Jesus. Kingdom .Gospel
It is by the grace of God that I have to complete this course. Very, very poor internet connection in my country Cameroon. Really, the course has broadened my knowledge on the approach of the gospel with respect to the four gospel writers – Matthew, Mark ,Luke and John. This knowledge will help me preaching and teachings to win souls for Jesus.
To God be the glory.
Impactful Study
This is another worthwhile study for me. The issues of the Kingdom couldn’t be more explained. I am now more knowledgeable about the nature of the Kingdom of God and the Messiah.
Thank you Axx!
